A NEW diesel version of the Mazda5 MPV has stormed onto the market with the best residuals in its class. Used car valuation expert CAP has described the 1.6-litre diesel model as a "best kept secret" and has predicted that the Sport model will retain 32 per cent of its value after three-years and 60,000-miles. The TS2 model also performs extremely well, with a 31 per cent retained value predicted.
Just 10 days after unveiling the new CLS Shooting Brake at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Mercedes' power-crazed AMG division has gone and announced the CLS 63 AMG version. At a stroke, the CLS AMG qualifies joins the world's fastest estate car club. With 518bhp as standard (rising to an optional 549bhp), the Shooting Brake is quicker to 62mph than a Porsche 911 Carrera S.

General Motors is considering a Cadillac supermini, based on the next generation Vauxhall Corsa platform. 'We're experimenting with a dramatic Cadillac off our global small car architecture,' said a GM source. The inspiration is the Mercedes A-class, which suggests a compact but tall one-box design, to maximise interior space.
